Corfu to Paxos ferry: town or Lefkimmi, tickets and arrival

Compare Corfu and Lefkimmi departures for Paxos, crossing-time evidence, seasonal timetables, airport transfers and the last journey from Gaios port.

Which Corfu to Paxos ferry should you choose?

Start with the port you can actually reach. Kamelia Lines publishes separate Corfu–Paxos and Lefkimmi–Paxos route selections; Ionian Blue Wave also advertises the Corfu–Paxos passenger connection. A ticket marked Lefkimmi requires a journey to that southern Corfu port, not a transfer to the port in Corfu Town.

For a flight arrival, compare the complete airport-to-Paxos journey before choosing the shortest sea crossing. For a stay in southern Corfu, Lefkimmi may be the more practical starting point. For a town stay, begin with the Corfu route selection and the exact embarkation instructions. Do not treat all search results labelled “Corfu” as the same boarding location.

How long is the crossing?

Kamelia’s FAQ gives 45 minutes for Lefkimmi–Paxos. Ionian Blue Wave’s main-site FAQ gives about 55–70 minutes for its Corfu–Paxos boats, depending on the vessel. These figures refer to different services; neither is an airport-to-hotel journey time.

Kamelia’s Corfu and Lefkimmi selectors also showed different journey lengths in the dated entries retrieved. Do not replace those with the old “60 minutes” fleet description on its homepage, or assume the shortest advertised duration applies to every sailing. Use the departure and arrival attached to the ticket you select.

Kamelia Lines: ticket agencies, crossing and winter-service FAQ

Which services run in winter?

Kamelia says its Corfu–Paxos and Lefkimmi–Paxos routes operate year-round, and its FAQ specifically warns that winter timetables differ. This is useful evidence that Paxos is not solely a summer cruise destination, but it is not a guarantee of every departure or a convenient connection after every flight.

Ionian Blue Wave describes service through the travel season. Its departures page retrieved on 25 October 2026 contained tables for periods between May and August 2026. Those tables cannot establish an October crossing or next summer’s timetable. Kerkyra Lines’ Corfu–Paxos selector returned “No timetables found” in our check; we do not convert an old search snippet into an available sailing.

From Corfu Airport to the right port

Corfu City Bus route 15 connects the airport, intercity bus station, town and Corfu port. This is the town-port approach; it does not take you to Lefkimmi. The current timetable must also be checked for the actual terminus, because some route 15 journeys finish in town rather than at the port.

For Lefkimmi, arrange the separate land journey to the port before selecting the boat. A bus advertised to Lefkimmi village or another southern resort does not by itself prove a connection to the ferry quay. Include baggage collection, the actual road transfer and boarding time in a flight connection. If the last feasible sailing leaves too little margin, use a Corfu overnight.

Tickets, booking cut-offs and the real cost

Kamelia’s online booking page states tickets are available up to 12 hours before departure, subject to availability. Its FAQ says tickets are not sold aboard and lists land agencies, including the Corfu office at 50 Eleftheriou Venizelou opposite Sette Venti and the Lefkimmi port agency. For a late booking, contact the agency rather than assuming you can pay on the boat.

For Ionian Blue Wave, the operator recommends reaching the port 30–45 minutes before departure. Follow the instructions attached to your particular service if they require more time. The shared appearance of a vehicle field in a booking form does not establish that a selected passenger boat carries a car; obtain vessel-specific vehicle acceptance and rental-company permission before planning to take one.

Compare the selected ticket price with the Corfu ground transfer and the Paxos transfer, in both directions if returning. Kamelia’s FAQ contains an undated fare and Ionian Blue Wave promotes a headline offer; neither is presented here as a confirmed fare for your date and passenger group.

Arriving on Paxos: Gaios is not the final hotel transfer

Gaios is the island’s main port town. Kamelia’s FAQ lists a ticket agency at Gaios New Port, distinct from its central Gaios office. Use the actual arrival point on your booking when arranging a pickup; do not assume the boat leaves you outside a harbour-front room.

For Lakka or Loggos, plan the onward land journey before boarding in Corfu. For a Gaios room, establish whether luggage pickup is worthwhile for that address. There is no taxi-on-demand guarantee or verified local bus connection in this guide. The arrival transfer matters particularly when travelling with small children, several bags or a hillside accommodation address.

Passenger transfer or sightseeing cruise?

For an overnight stay, buy an actual transport ticket to Paxos and arrange a separate exit journey. An organised Corfu cruise may combine island calls, caves or swimming and then return to Corfu. Its programme does not establish permission to leave the trip with luggage or use it as a one-way hotel transfer.

For a day trip by passenger ferry, book an outward and return combination that leaves useful time ashore, and allow for both port transfers. Do not add Antipaxos as an automatic extra connection between two tightly timed ferries. For a longer stay, keep recovery time before a fixed onward flight; a flight ticket and a separately booked ferry are not a protected connection.

Sources and timetable limits

Operator and local transport pages checked 25 October 2026. The Kamelia date selectors retrieved a 24 October 2026 view, not a new booking for the reader’s date. The quoted crossing durations and boarding advice are attributed operator guidance, not guaranteed elapsed times. No sailing time, live fare, vehicle acceptance or future seat availability is fixed by this guide.
