Depart from Parikia and arrive in Naxos Town
For the Paros to Naxos ferry, go to the main ferry port in Parikia. Naoussa is a separate town, while Pounta’s Antiparos crossing is a different service. On Naxos, the arrival is in Naxos Town, also called Chora or Hora; reaching Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna or Plaka then requires an onward road journey.
This direction is useful when Paros is your first island and Naxos your second, or for a carefully timed day trip. Blue Star’s early-October 2026 notice documents the direct leg, but does not supply your travel day’s timetable or fare.

- Reach Parikia
Build the port approach into your departure morning
From Naoussa, use the route towards Parikia. From Lefkes, Piso Livadi or Drios, identify the correct Parikia-bound corridor and allow for its stops. Do not treat a bus’s departure time from your village as a ferry connection guarantee. From a Parikia room, check the walking route to the departure point with your luggage.

Arrive with an issued ticket and identification
Blue Star’s published requirement is at least one hour at the embarkation area before departure, including foot passengers. Add your transfer time before that hour. Other carriers’ ticket conditions must be read separately. Ask crew to identify the Naxos sailing if several vessels are loading.

Choose town, nearby beach or south-west coast
For a Chora room, confirm the address and whether the luggage route goes uphill or into lanes. For Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna and Plaka, Naxos Public Buses describes a beach corridor starting at the port terminal. Match your stop to the accommodation address; do not assume every departure continues to every beach.

Parikia, Pounta and Punda Beach are different places
The Paros bus network distinguishes Punda (Antiparos), on the port route for the neighbouring island, from Punda Beach on the eastern beach corridor. A map search for Pounta can therefore send you away from the Naxos ferry. Use Parikia main ferry port as your road-transfer destination and confirm the departure point on the day.
If you are staying on the east coast, leaving a wide transfer margin matters more than a short sea journey. The KTEL timetable inspected on 24 October 2026 runs from 19 to 30 October; it cannot establish a bus-to-ferry connection for another season.
Paros KTEL: separate Antiparos-port and beach routesCrossing time: compare the dated sailing
Blue Star’s modified itinerary for 3 October 2026 lists Blue Star Delos leaving Paros at 20:40 and reaching Naxos at 21:30, a 50-minute crossing. That historical example establishes neither a current evening service nor a universal duration. Use the scheduled arrival shown for the vessel on your date, including any intermediate calls.
A late arrival can be convenient for a room in Chora but complicate a transfer to Plaka or a village. Choose between a town arrival night and a prearranged transfer before committing to a late ticket. Do not rely on an assumed final beach bus.

Chora is the straightforward arrival base if you want the port, town restaurants and onward transport nearby. Agios Georgios is another base to compare for a town-and-beach stay, but ask for the actual walking route rather than accepting an island-wide claim of walkability. Higher old-town rooms may involve steps and slopes with luggage.
Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna and Plaka suit a beach-focused stay with a separate transfer. The bus operator’s route page names the port terminal and those stops. Its English timetable checked on 24 October still covers 1–8 May 2026, so its displayed departures are not current arrival connections. If you cannot establish a suitable dated service, arrange a transfer or choose a town base.

No travel-date fare has been verified here. Obtain the final passenger total for the sailing and add the journey into Parikia and the transfer from Naxos port. A car needs its own accepted vehicle booking; permission to take a rental between islands must come from the rental contract, not the ferry search.
Blue Star website bookings can obtain e-tickets from 48 hours to two hours before departure. Its port-agency ticket-collection alternative asks you to collect at least two hours before departure. Keep the booking confirmation, issued ticket and ID available, and use your carrier’s own instructions if travelling with another operator.
Blue Star: web check-in and collection windowsFor a day trip, choose the return before the outward ferry
A useful day trip needs both an outward sailing and a Naxos-to-Paros return that leaves time in Naxos. Chora is the least complicated focus; adding the beach corridor means another outward and return bus or taxi journey. Do not buy the outward leg on the assumption that a return will run late enough.
For an overnight stay, book this as a move between bases rather than a tightly packed activity day. The dated October notice confirms the corridor but not winter frequency or next year’s services. Keep a mainland buffer before an international flight and use the broader disruption guide if a sailing changes.
