Take the ferry from Naxos Town to Parikia
The Naxos to Paros ferry connects the main port in Naxos Town (Chora) with Parikia on Paros. For a stay in Naoussa, Lefkes, Piso Livadi or Drios, book the crossing to Paros and add an onward island transfer; those places are not substitute arrival ports for this journey.
Blue Star’s early-October 2026 notice documents this direct connection. It is evidence of the route, not a current timetable. The practical choice is the sailing that fits both your Naxos departure transfer and your Paros arrival, rather than the shortest advertised sea crossing.

Get back to Chora before boarding time
From a room in Chora, establish the walking route to the actual ferry departure point rather than just the waterfront. From Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna or Plaka, plan the return bus or a prearranged road transfer to Naxos Town. The bus operator locates its town terminal at the port, but an old timetable cannot validate your connection.

Match the vessel and direction on your ticket
Your ticket must read Naxos to Paros for the intended date. A vessel may continue to other islands or Athens; the destination board does not mean every waiting passenger boards the same ferry. Keep your issued ticket and identification accessible. Blue Star requires passengers at the embarkation area at least one hour before departure.

Continue from Parikia, not from the wrong Pounta
For Parikia accommodation, obtain the exact address and luggage route. For Naoussa, look for the Parikia–Naoussa bus or your booked transfer. The main KTEL station is beside Parikia port. The Pounta port used for Antiparos and Punda Beach on the east coast are different places; neither is the main Naxos ferry arrival.

How long does Naxos to Paros take?
There is no single duration that applies to every vessel. As a dated example, Blue Star’s modified itinerary for 4 October 2026 shows Blue Star Naxos leaving Naxos at 09:30 and arriving at Paros at 10:20, a 50-minute sea leg. Do not use those times to book another day. Compare the duration and any intermediate calls in the actual dated search result.
Door-to-door time also includes the journey from your Naxos base, the operator’s boarding requirement, disembarkation and the wait for transport on Paros. A faster vessel can still produce a later arrival at your hotel if its departure or onward connection is awkward.

Parikia removes an additional road transfer on arrival and is the simplest option if you want to drop bags before exploring town. Naoussa adds the bus or taxi leg to the north of Paros. For Lefkes and the eastern coast, identify the bus route as well as the destination: KTEL lists a corridor through Lefkes and another via Naoussa towards the eastern beaches.
The KTEL page inspected on 24 October 2026 is valid for 19–30 October only. Use that validity window if travelling then; it is not evidence of summer, winter or next-year frequency. For a late ferry arrival, settle the final transfer before choosing a non-refundable room far from Parikia.
Paros KTEL: dated routes and timetableChoose the Paros base before the final transfer
Compare Parikia, Naoussa and the eastern coast for evening plans, beach access and repeated journeys. Then book the arrival transfer to that specific base rather than treating every Paros room as port-adjacent.

We have not verified a bookable fare for your travel date. Compare the final total for the correct passengers, seat category and any vehicle, not a route page’s headline minimum. Keep the Naxos departure transfer and Paros arrival transfer as separate budget lines. Do not assume a high-speed vessel accepts a vehicle because another ferry does.
For Blue Star website bookings, web check-in runs from 48 hours to two hours before departure; the resulting e-ticket is shown with ID or passport. The operator’s alternative port-agency collection requires at least two hours before departure. If you leave ticket collection until after the check-in window, the one-hour boarding rule is not enough time for that collection procedure.

An October route notice and Seajets’ 2026 route overview do not establish every winter sailing or any 2027 date. Search the exact day in the operator’s booking system before fixing your hotel change. A missing result needs resolving before payment; it is not proof that an indirect trip via Athens is necessary.
For a day trip, secure a usable Paros-to-Naxos return independently and allow time to get back from Naoussa or an eastern beach to Parikia. For an overnight move, keep the arrival day lightly booked. If weather disrupts the crossing, do not try to protect an expensive onward flight with an unverified same-day connection.

The ten-day Naxos and Paros itinerary treats this as a transfer day between stays, not as a full sightseeing day. Choose your Paros base and book the correct dated crossing before committing to timed activities after arrival. Our ferry planning guide covers wider ticket terms and disruption procedures without treating this route as guaranteed.
